What is Music?

  • Any agreeable sound
  • The science or art of combining sounds into a composition having structure and continuity

NOTE: A non agreeable sound is called NOISE

Noisy Sound – usually not agreeable to the ear

Musical Sound – agreeable or pleasant to the ear


What produces music?

Music is produced by human voice and variety of musical instruments

  • Keyboard Instruments(Piano, Organ etc)
  • String Instruments (Violin, Viola, Cello & Double Bass
  • Woodwind Instruments (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Oboe & Bassoon)
  • Brass Instruments (Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba)

Music can also be produced by birds and some animals
